CreateaNewHardwareConguration

Tocreateanewhardwarecongurationfromthebeginning:

1.GotoSetup>HardwareCongurationandclickStartnewhardwareconguration.

Iftheproduct’shardwarehasnotbeenconguredbeforeorhasbeendeleted,HardwareCongurationwillbeavailablein

thenoticationpanelintheOverviewpage.

2.Enteradescriptivenameforeachdoor.Itisrecommendedtoprovidethedoorswithuniquedescriptivenamessothatthey

easilycanbeidentifedbyanyonewhowilladministratethesystem.

YoucanalsoeditthenameoftheAxisproduct.Thedefaultnameincludestheserialnumberforeasyidentication.

3.SelectAperioifthesystemincludesanAssaAperiocommunicationhub.

IfthesystemincludesanAperiohubonly,clickFinish.Wirelessdoors/devicesareconguredafterHardwareConguration

iscompleted.SeeAddWirelessDoorsandDevicesonpage16.Otherwisecontinuewiththenextstep.

4.Selectadooroptiondependingonthenumberofdoors,one(1)ortwo(2),thatwillbeconnectedtotheAxisproduct

andclickNext

5.Selectthedoormonitorandlockoptionsthatmatchtherequirementsandthetypeoflockconnectionsthatwillbeused

andclickNext.Formoreinformation,seeCongureLocksandDoorMonitorsonpage16andLockOptionsonpage17.

6.SelectthetypesofreadersthatwillbeusedandclickFinish.Formoreinformation,seeCongureReadersandREXDevices

onpage18andReaderandREXDeviceOptionsonpage18.

7.Inthedialogthatappearsaftercompletingtheconguration,clickOKorclickthelinktoviewthehardwarepinchart.

Toprintthehardwarepinchart,clickPrintHardwarePinChartontheHardwarePinChartpage.

Tocancelthehardwareconguration,clickCancel.Thiscanbedoneinanyofthehardwarecongurationpages.

AddWirelessDoorsandDevices

BeforeaddingawirelessdoortothesystemitneedstobepairedwiththeconnectedAssaAperiocommunicationhub,using

AperioPAP(Aperioprogrammingapplicationtool).

Toaddawirelessdoor:

1.GotoSetup>HardwareReconguration.

2.UnderWirelessDoorsandDevicesclickAdddoor.

3.IntheDoornameeld:Enteradescriptivename.

4.IntheIDeldunderLock:Enterthesix-character-longaddressofthedevicethatyouwanttoadd.Thedeviceaddressis

printedontheproductlabel.

5.ClickAdd.

CongureLocksandDoorMonitors

1.Ifadoormonitorwillbeused,selectDoormonitorandthenselecttheoptionthatmatcheshowthedoormonitor

circuitswillbeconnected.

2.Ifthedoorlockshalllockimmediatelyafterthedoorhasbeenopened,selectCancelaccesstimeoncedoorisopened.

3.Specifythedoormonitortimeoptionsor,ifnodoormonitorwillbeused,thelocktimeoptions.
